Test Centre engineers and facilitates the transmission of the written and spoken word. Established in 2011, it is committed to the publication of new work in tangible forms. By generating a network of correspondence, Test Centre documents and circulates the output of an emerging literary scene.

Test Centre launched with a series of spoken word LPs, beginning with Iain Sinclair's Stone Tape Shuffle in March 2012. Museum of Loneliness, an album by Chris Petit, was released in March 2013, and LPs by Stewart Home and Tom McCarthy will follow later this year.

Austerlitz and After : Tracking Sebald | Iain Sinclair

Test Centre presents Iain Sinclair's new booklet Austerlitz and After: Tracking Sebald. An unused, adapted section from Iain's forthcoming book American Smoke (November 2013), it recounts an East London walk in the late German author's footsteps.

The first edition of our magazine, Test Centre One, was published in July 2012, followed by Test Centre Two in December 2012. Test Centre Three will be out on May 1st and is available for pre-order now.

Join us at the Whitechapel Gallery on Thursday 2nd May for the launch of Chris Petit's album Museum of Loneliness. The evening will feature appearances from Chris as well as Iain Sinclair, and there will be a rare screening of their film Asylum. All accompanied by playback of Museum of Loneliness, scored by Mordant Music. Tickets available here.
